I'm collecting several Word 2003 files together into one. Much of the
material contains outlines. Word connects some outline sections (e.g., A, B,
C,) to earlier sections at the same level. What results is a section that
should start with 'A' now starts with 'D'. It gets absurd in some cases, such
as when several pages are skipped, then it picks up again with 'Q', 'R', 'S',
etc. Because it doesn't recognize intervening outline levels, it won't allow
me to "restart numbering" anywhere. Is there a way to resolve this?
