How do I reset the Contact name view in Outlook?

When I add a new name to Outlook Contacts, if I type the name in the name
field as "John Jones" it gets saved as "Jones John." If I use the Full Name
button and type First Name=John LastName= Jones, then it is filed correctly
but the name field displays as "Jones John." Where can I find a way to reset
how the name is handled? I am using Outlook 2003.

Tools>Options>Contact Options, perhaps?
