How do I reset default Excel window too view=fullscreen

My Excel has freaked out.

All my excel files open up into some strange default view setting where only
the tool bar across the top is displayed. The actual sheet window is
hidden.

I figured out how to make it display the data sheet window by selcting View
FULL SCREEN from the tool bar once, then VIEW FULL SCREEN a 2nd time.

Where do I reset this behavior so the window opens properly to fullscreen
view ?

This is not a ingle file/sheet issue. It happens on any excel file open .

thanks for your help

Maybe I mistated my issue...

Something has chaged about the DEFAULT behavior of my excel. It now opens
all files with some wierd view that only has the the tool bar at the top
visable.

I know how to make it display the window appropriatly during a session.

What I need to know is how to set the DEFAULT behavior to open into NORMAL
view instead of this wierd view of only the tool bar,

This behavior is not file specific. It happens with all excel files.

I'm stumped.

thanks

Try unhiding your personal.xls and closing any other open excel files
change your toolbars, make a change to your personal.xls, save your personal.xls
Close Excel, Open Excel, hide your personal.xls

When you reopened Excel were the toolbars fixed.

BTW,
Did Alt+V, Alt+U fix your current view
you said it was the default you wanted fixed, but did that fix
your current view.

David,

Thanks., Yes ALT+V ALT+U fixed the current view...

Funny thing is that I put this aaway for couple of days and the probelm
seems to have fixed itself.

I have no clue what happened. i didn't change anything. It was doing the
funny view, now it is not.

It did not seem file dependant, nor did it seem session dependant as you
could close excel, reboot the machine and choose any excel file and
expereince the same problem.

The issue appears to have just went away.

HUM ????

Anyway thanks very much for your help.
