Whenever I go to click on my computer and then WIN XP Home directory,
I get ACDSEE application come up. I never used to before. How do I
make this default go away or assign other defaults when I search for
fiels this way?

Open my computer, click tools at th etop, then folder options, then
file types tab.. that lists all the xtensions there and their
associated programme, also you could just uninstall acdsee.

Flamer.

Thanks, I tried that but I could not get the drive type to associate
with the "explore" option. THere was no explore option or edit mode.
How can I solve this?

Look in the root folder on the drive for a file named "Autorun.inf" and
delete it.
Then go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

Thanks, For some reason when I click on My Computer and Win XP Hoime
drive C on desktop it works now.

I made a few shortcuts for folder locations (ie. My downloads) on
desktop but clicking on it still gives me the ACDSEE program instead
of the "explore" option.

Can you help?

Thx

I did a search and found about 10 of these autorun/inf files for
various programs such as my anitvirus, powerdvd, HP printer etc in
drives c: and harddrive f:.

Is it safe to delete them all?

Also what does Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32 do
exactly?

Thanks!

I didn't delete the autorun.inf but ran the regsvr32 /i shell32 and it
worked!

Thanks a million!
