how do i remove the underline from URL in an html mail message

I have a signature with an email address and a URL. In the signature option
in Outlook there is no underline showing. when i bring up a new email message
the underlines appear. How do I make sure the underlines do NOT appear?

The underline is a visual artifact, often, and is not really included in the
message.
