How do I remove the "low disc space" messages

Hi all

I have been using Windows XP for a week now and each time I start
Windows I always get a message in the System Tray/Notification Area,
"low disc space". I know the hard disc in question has low disc space,
but is there any way of permanently removing this reminder?
