How do I remove mouse rollovers?

V

In and old worksheet that I am editing, my two inserted columns inherited the
properties from the column next to them. This column has a box that pops up
whenever you roll the mouse over it. This information in this box is not
applicable to my two new columns, so I want to either iedit it or delete the
box entirely, but I cannot even find out what this box is called, much less
find out how to delete/edit the contents. Can anyone help? BTW, it is Excel
2002

If the cells that have pop up boxes have a small triangle indicator in the
upper-right hand corner of the cell, you have a comment in that cell.

Right click on the cell with the comment and select DELETE COMMENTS from the
shortcut menu.

Hi Vernon

It could be a Data Validation message.
If so, select the column>Data>Validation>Allow any value
