How do I remove dotted selection field selections and buttons?

For example, when I enable 'Hide inactive icons' in the Taskbar a Show/Hide
button appears, when I select this button a dotted selection box appears
around it, I'm wondering how I get rid of these selection boxes throughout
windows and its UI.

Hello,

I don't think this is possible with the normal Windows UI customizations.
The dotted line is a usability feature to indicate that the control has
received focus.

You may be able to achieve it by Window Blinds - but I am not sure on this.

It does seem like a sort of usability feature, but I've talked to other
people and they say they have no such 'selection box' as indicated by the
screenshot. It does not seem like it belongs there, it seems to only happen
when visual style themes are loaded, as when switching to classic mode this
feature is gone.

Has to be a tweak to get rid of it somewhere.

I'm using Windows XP MCE 2005.
