I have read all the advice given for this query,

Did you read this?
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm
as i'm new however to
office outlook, i do not even know what a pst. file is! Can someone
tell me and also how to create it.

File>New>Outlook Data File. However, if you're sending and receiving mail,
you already have one (it's where all your data, like Contacts and email) is
kept, so no need to create another unless you want.

I have an email stuck in my
outbox because it's too large (13MB). I followed these steps:

1. Create a new pst-file; File-> New-> Outlook Data File...
2. Set this pst-file as your default delivery location in your
Account settings;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts-> button Next
3. When you now restart Outlook your original pst-file will show up
as the
secondary set of folders where should easily be able to remove the file from
or
even the complete Outbox folder

However, I am still unable to delete the message. I select the message, then
click the delete icon, and nothing happens. Now, I have two Personal Folders
in outlook and I'm not sure where to go from here. Previous to this I was
following the advice to rename the pst file, which I did, to no avail. Then I
went back and renamed the file with its original name, but now outlook wants
to
find the outlook2.pst file that I created. What should I do? I'm afraid to
change anything else lest I really screw up my system.

Ok, i have had this problem more times than I can imagine. I ahve a really
simple way of correcting this problem. usually the first thing you should do
is click on your outbox to open it and then then click to "cancel
send/receive." After canceling the send/receive then deleting is easy. You
jsut click delete and it deletes with no problem!

Somewhere along the line I got the impression you had mentioned you were
using Outlook 2000, but I can see that I was mistaken. You can create a new
one with FIle>New>Outlook Data File. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Moreover, to changhe the delivery location click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next
and look at the drop-down at the bottom left.

I don't know what version of Outlook you have but I dont have the options
listed to create the folder. I have >File>New> Then I have >mail message.post
in folder etc. which of these do I use or am I in the wrong area all together?
