Click on the picture to select it and hit the Backspace key. This will work
unless the picture is on the master slide (in which case it is likely to be
showing up on every slide). In that case, go to the View menu and choose
Master and Slide Master. Then you should be able to click on the picture
and delete it.

Just select the clip or picture by clicking on it and press Delete on your
keyboard.
