how do I reinstall outlook express

my outlook express started to crash every time it was open for a few seconds, now it will not open at all.

I downloaded the latest IE6/oe package but it won't install as it says my computer already has a more recent version.

I tried manually deleting OE, bit kept reappearing in the OE folder.

I have run Norton and it can't see any viruses. I know my ISP filtered a virus on an incoming email but now I can't eben open Outlook Express to delete any suspect files. I have also run Norton on the mail inbox file (after I finally found it!)

I now can't run, delete or reinstall Outlook Express

ANy ideas out there please?
