I have a powerpoint presentation to do, I saved the original copy onto a cd
and now as I open it up and do the changes, I try to save it again now with
the corrections and it wont allow me, it tells me it is unable because it is
a read-only file. How can I save my changes from my original powerpoint into
my CD?

You can't save a file into CD directly. You will need to save it on your hard
drive first, then burn/write it into a CD-R/RW. To write files into CD-R/RW,
you will need a CD-burner/writer.

If you are using PowerPoint 2003, you can click File > Package for CD > Copy
to CD.

Windows XP also allows you to write files into CD. Simple insert a CD-R/RW,
then open the cd-rom drive, drag the files into the drive, then click "write
these files to CD".
