How do I re-install Internet Explorer?

MS site is very confusing re: a re-install. I have a pc running XP Home
SP2 and am having trouble w/IE freezing. It show a Yahoo Icon in the
upper right corner (not sure how that came about).

Would like to re-install IE if possible without having to do XP-SP2 all
over again.

Possible?

Internet Explorer cannot be reinstalled without reinstalling XP.
Remember that IE is not an independent program--it's part of the
operating system.

Why do you want to reinstall Internet Explorer? Are you certain that
Internet Explorer is the cause of your problem or are you just hoping?

Internet Explorer itself is rarely the cause of a computer
freezing--that's due to other causes. For example, you have a Yahoo!
branded browser and you don't know how you got it. Is that the fault of
Internet Explorer?

You need to diagnose the freezing problem.
