I have a calender of provisional scheduled events and want to make sure
that before if is distributed... if has an opaque message in the forground
such as 'provisional dates'. I don't want a watermark as this is not
noticable enough through the calender

Insert a watermark using Format | Background | Printed Watermark, then View
| Header and Footer, click on the WordArt object to select it (and display
the WordArt toolbar) and make either or both of these changes:

1. Click on Format WordArt and, on the Colors and Lines tab, change either
the color or the transparency.

2. Click on Text Wrapping and change it to In Front of Text.
