How do I project a presentation while viewing the notes in Ppt?

I would like to view the notes on my screen while my audience views the
presentation. I have heard there is a way to do this, but am not sure how.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

I would need to purchase additional hardware for my computer? The user I'm
assisting would like to do this with a presentation at a different facility
where a computer will already be set up for her.

You will have to check out to see whether the computer supports it first. To
go into the presenter view as stated in the tutorial, click on Slide Show >
Set Up Show. Then, put a checkmark on Show presenter view.

Not necessarily. It depends on the computer. If it's a laptop with true multiple
monitor support, then you can send the presentation itself to the second video
output (usually the laptop's external video) to which you've hooked the projector.
You can use Presenter view on the laptop's own screen to see the notes and slide
thumbnails.

Most desktop computers don't offer multiple monitor support unless they have
special video cards.

So it sounds as though your user might want to bring a laptop along or check into
the capabilities of the computer on site.

Have a look at SlideShow, Set Up Show
That brings up the dialog box where you set this up

The specifics depend on the PPT version you have, and the options will be grayed
out if you don't have a second monitor connected.

I really appreciate your help on this....you aren't, by chance, an expert in
Outlook as well, are you? I submitted a question to that discussion group
earlier and haven't heard anything back. We're having an issue at our
facility with the VP's Outlook. They set their outlook to give editor rights
to their administrative assistant (and this was a while ago). Now, everyone
in the facility has editor rights to everything in his Outlook (calendar,
inbox, etc.). We have checked the permissions and delegates on both his
machine and the server, but can't find anything to be out of place. We
recently upgraded the server to exchange 2003, so we are wondering if this
might be the issue. If you know anything about this, please let me know...it
would be greatly appreciated.

Nothin' doin'!

Outlook squats on my desktop because Somebody In Redmond decreed "Make it so". But I
never touch the stuff. ;-)
