I got a .doc file as an attachment in an e-mail. It was an announcement,
using a graphic and text. When I printed it, the text printed, leaving a
area where the graphic was. How do I print the whole announcement, graphic
and all?

Open the Word document in Word, then go to Tools/OPtions/Print and check
whether the checkbox for printing Drawing objects is activated. It needs to be
if you want a graphic to print.

Thank you so much for replying. I had done everything I knew how to do and
two things I didn't know how to do, and I still had not found this.
