how do i prevent changes to my template with fill in the blanks

I know how to protect the document to prevent changes to what I have typed.
The only thing that can be changed is the fill in the blanks, but when you
type in the blanks, it moves the document text. Any fixes?
 
If this question is about Microsoft Word, it's best to ask it in a
Microsoft Word newsgroup. This newsgroup is for questions about
designing databases using Microsoft Access.
 
I think you are in the wrong newsgroup - you need one for MS Word.
This one is for MS Access.
