Hullo,
I asked this question before but perhaps I was less than specific.
I want to place a currency symbol, by itself ,in a separate cell or column
when using Microsoft Excel.
I know about Format, cells, number headings, etc. but how do I get JUST the
symbol , without other numbers, in the relevant box??
I am looking for help.

Just type it in the cell.

If the symbol is on your keyboard, just type it as Niek Otten indicated.

If it is not on your keyboard, the simplest way is to copy it from the
Character Map under Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools. Select
the desired Font and look for the symbol. Click on the symbol, click Select
and Copy, then return to Excel, put your cursor in the desired cell and Paste.
