How do I password protect a form field? i.e. signature field

How do I control who can apply a signature to an Access form? I am currently
using a drop down list . The signer selects their name from the list to
"sign". I need it to be more secure so only the signer can select his/her
name. Thanks

I'm not sure I'm seeing the complete picture.

You have someone sitting at a PC who's going to select a "signature" from a
combobox, and you want the PC to "know" who's sitting there?

If that's accurate, then why bother having them select -- if the PC already
"knows" who it is, use his/hers.

One way a PC can tell who it is would be to add it Access security (no
longer available under Access 2007, if I recall correctly). That approach
is quite complex and not for the faint-of-heart.

Another approach, if the PC is a member on a LAN, would be for the PC to ask
the network OS who's logged on. Then your application could compare the
logon ID with a list of "signatures".

What am I missing?
