How do I open an Excel worksheet in a new window?

Start your opening process all over. Don't go through the excel you alread
have open. go back to your desktop and open a new excel and then open your
workbook through there.
 
Do you have a need for something other than >File >New >Blank workbook ?
 
Perhaps Tools>Options>View "Windows in Taskbar" is what you/re looking for.
