How do I open an Excel web file out side of the web browser view?

I would like to open an excel file that is stored on the my company's
intranet without using the web-browser view. I want the file to open using
the actual Excel program. I know there is a key to hold down while opening
the file... Any suggestions?

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Select the Tools menu -> Folder Options -> File Types tab
3. Select 'XLS' from the list.
4. Click the 'Advanced' button.
5. Uncheck 'Browse in same window'. Click OK.

This assumes you are using Internet Explorer to browse the intranet.
