How do I open a presentation in Slide Show mode?

We are going to be showing off at an Expo and have a laptop with several
presentations.

Is there a way to create a shortcut on the Desktop that will open the
selected presentation as a slide show, without having to open the file, then
use F5 to run it as a slide show?

Hi Mich

yes, do a FILE / SAVE AS and choose under Save as Type - POWERPOINT SHOW
(*.pps)

And it gets even easier. You don't need to go the File | Save As route if
you have already created the presentations. Just change their extensions to
..pps...
