How do I open .123 (not .WK?) files ?

Excel can open .WK? files, but not .123 files which is the format used by the later versions of Lotus SmartSuite. The ORK and Text Converters provided are of no help, nor is Lotus! Short of re-saving files in Lotus to .WK? formats, what other options are there? Microsoft, are you listening? Why don't you provide a converter?

Did anyone find a way of easily opening lotus .123 (not wk*) files in
Excel? Is there a convertor available? Where? Currently we are using
Lotus 123 but want to migrate to Excel but need to find the best
solution for converting all the files..... at the moment I have to open
in Lotus, save as wk4, then open in Excel and save as xls.
