How do I nudge a chart?

In old PPT versions you could click on a chart and use the arrow keys to
nudge the chart. In PPT 2007 using the arrow keys selects a different part of
the chart for editing (labels, axes, bars, etc.). If I wanted to edit the
bars I would click on them, I don't need the arrow keys for that. This change
is really frustrating me.

The only workaround I can think of is to create a dummy shape, highlight the
chart and the shape at the same time, then use the arrow keys to nudge.
However, this is time-consuming and stupid to have to do. Anybody know if
this is a setting I can change or something?
