too much useage,so they upt my package to the highest one.i was wandering if
there is a free download so i can see for myself what useage i am using, and i
can monitor it myself every month

Many internet providers have a cut rate package where they impose limits.
This is for the casual user. Only your provider knows what these limits are.
If they claim you are going over the limits you need the standard package or
the business package.

If you are on broadband, Roadrunner or DSL, it could be that your computer
has been compromised and is being controlled, and used, by a 3rd party -
likely from Russia! They could be using your computer to store and
distribute files to others requesting downloads.

Are you protected by a good firewall? Are you using up-to-date antivirus
software? Download and use ZoneAlarm firewall. The free version is good. The
paid version, ZoneAlarm Professional, or the ZoneAlarm Security Suite
(includes antivirus, popup blocker, antispam, etc.) are both "excellent"!

thankyou kenny, i will try this, just wandering don`t all providers have a
useage limit,i`m with wanadoo broadband i pay 27.00 amonth,or are there other
providers who do unlimited access for cheaper?
thanks
sharon

hi, i have downloaded the useage program, but i can`t work out,my useage limit
is 30 Gb and my useage shown this month is 3.71 MB what is higher Gb or MB
i hope you can help me with this
thankyou

the program starts monitoring once you install it. It is not possible to
know how much you downloaded BEFORE you installed it.
So the readings are from now on.
1 GB is 1000 MB, so the 3.71 mb you are seeing is only the amount you
downloaded from the time you installed the program.

Please feel free to ask me any questions about this...

as for the ISP, I am in europe so we have different plans here. So you will
have to ask around.

My broadband provider is Optimum Online, a cable service. For $ 45.00 a
month I have no limits and it is a very reliable provider. $ 27.00 is
pretty cheap for broadband, is it a DSL service or cable?

I pay £22.98 a month for unlimited access and that's for three machines
which can connect whenever and forever how long they want.

thanks richard,i have firewall and anti virus software installed

Firewall and anti-virus do not ensure that you do not have spyware.

Hi Sharon, I did it through my local computer shop but if you go to
www.mynetuk.com you can find out information there, I was with BT but only
for line rental but have now switched my rental to my phone call provider
as they are cheaper than BT <g>
