How do I merge two Access databases?

I am charged with the duty of merging two MS-Access databases that have
different field names. Can someone please give me instructions on how to
merge these databases?

I like a product called Speed Ferret for finding all instances of a string
within a database file and changing them:

It does sort of depend on the particular situation and requirements.
Generally you would chose one database as the survivor and then change the
names and field types in the tables of the second database to match the
first then link to the second database, use an append query and delete the
link and query.

Of course you may have issues with duplicates, problems with loosing
data when changing field types, loss of forms and reports and other issues
depending on the specific needs of your situation.

It also sounds like you may want to look up split databases and sharing
data if you have not already.
