I need to take 5 Access Database and link them together into one Master
Access Database. I am using Access 2003. And each database is in different
table formats. What i need is to beable to input data into one database and
the master database automatically updates itself from the 5 individual
databases!

Insufficient information. How are the databases related? What is being
updated? Why do you want five different databases?

1. What is being updated? All information in the master database is being
updated everyday, it is for a project that I am working on for the Army!
2. How are the databases related? The database have no relationship right
now, thats what I am trying to get them to do.
3. Why do you want five different databases? This is the way we are trying
to set it up: Battalion has the master database, and each company as in Aco,
Bco, Cco, Dco and HHC have thier own individual database and what we are
trying to get done is beable to update the master database from inputting the
information in the individual databases from remote locations.

This will be your first step. Until you know about the data and what
relationships there should be you can't really do anything right. Figure
this on out first.

See #2. Study each existing database. If the data is not the same,
there is no use in trying to put it all together. Being an outsider, you
may, after studying the sittuation, be able to see the pattern and and
suggest how to make the data compatible and talk each one into accepting
your new design.

What options are there to share data? LAN?

A couple of additional concerns.

Is all the data entered by a specific location specific to that
location, or could your have two or more locations trying to enter the same
data?

Are there security issues?

Who all needs to see all the combined data? Does each location need to
be able to see the combined data, or just their own data? How often does
the data need to be combined?
