How do I manually restore from a previous restore point?

I have a xp system that when it boots, it gets so far and
then automatically reboots. It does the same thing if I
go into Safe Mode, Last Known Good configuration or
anything. I know that I can manually restore a prior
restore point, but do not have those commands readily
available. HELP!
 
You may need to use your WinXP CD to boot. Then you can use the options it
provides in its menu to see if that helps any.
