How do I make PP action buttons change appearance on mouse-over?

Web-based action buttons use a short Java script to change appearance on
mouse-over and again on mouse left-click. Are the same effects possible with
action buttons in PP? (If not, they oughta be, darn it!)

If you apply an action setting to most drawing shapes or even images, you can
choose "Highlight when clicked" or "Highlight when mouseover"

You get PPT's default highlight behavior, which may not be too too
exhilirating, but at least it's something.

Thank you, Mr. Rindsberg!

Steve,
Do you know if this works on 3-d like objects with a picture fill? I ask
because I know there is a problem if you use an emphasis animation to change
a 3d object that has a picture fill - in that case, the object goes flat. It
would be nice to be able to recommend using a highlight action in those
cases instead of the triggered animation.

Seems to work one way or another with picture-filled action buttons (can't say
much for the effect in that case) and with 3d shapes (better there).
