I am tracking dates in excel... basically as follows... Start date to
completed date... I am looking into how to make a cell change colour after a
certain amount have days have passed?

example: (a1= June 1st 2005 a2= completed date )after 5 days from start
date.. change the completed date cell red.

Thanks

Select A2, then:

<Format> <Conditional Format>,

Click
"Formula Is",
Then enter this:

=A2>A1+4

Click on "Format", and choose what you wish,
Then <OK> <OK>

When oyou select "Conditional Fromatting" a box will appear. You can set
either "Cell value" or formula is. In your case select "cell value" tab to
the drob down list and select equal to or greater than for your condition.
Then select format. This gives you the option of changing the border color,
font color, or background color if a condition is met. You can use up to
three conditions in the method. Just lay with it a bit-its quite simple.
Good Luck
