How do I make gridlines permanent?

I do a lot of cut and paste operations in excel. It kills me when I have
to go back and recreate the gridlines. Is there a way to make it so the cut
and paste does not affect the gridlines with out double clicking in the cell?

If you only want to cop formulas or values, you could use paste special
instead of paste.

Select Edit-paste special, then values or formulas radio button
