How do i make Excel stop going into currency?

you should format cells as General. Click on the grey square at the
intersection of the row and column identifiers to highlight the
complete sheet, then Format | Cells | Number (tab) and choose General
from the drop-down list.

you can choose the cells you dont need them to be formated as
currency, right click -> format cells -> general
