how do i make a short cut for access other than an Icon

Is there a shortcut other than the icon on windows then go through 4steps to
open files how do i link them all together to create one database?
 
Your question isn't clear but I think I understand your need.

Open a Windows Explorer session at less than full screen. Navigate to
the Access database in question = YourFile.MDB or something like that.
Right click the file. Choose "Create Shortcut. At the bottom of the
list of files the new shortcut will appear. Click it and drag it onto
the desktop. You will now have an icon that you can rename for your
use.
