How do I make a Business Cards using an Avery Template?

I have Windows XP and am having a heck of a time using some templates from
Avery to make my business cards. These have to be done in Word, right?

Generally, yes. Here's a few tips for you, Jayne:
1. Make sure you are viewing table gridlines (Table-->Show gridlines.)
2. Business cards are found under labels (Tools-->Letters &
Mailing-->Envelopes & Labels or Tools-->Letters & Mailing-->Envelopes &
Labels, depending on version).
3. Choose Labels and choose your business card from the list of options.
4. Create one good card in the first business card area. Then copy it to the
others.

Actually, if you have Publisher, it is a much more suitable application for
business cards because you have greater control over the placement of design
elements, *and* you can create the card just once and print it 10-up on your
Avery sheet.
