I created a Hyperlink on Front Page to an article that I have written in
Word. It works perfect in Front Page but will not Open from my website
on-line.

Other links work fine.

Help?

.
Open FrontPage, and then open your site. In folders view,
if you don't have a folder named documents, create one.
Then select the documents folder and choose Import from the
File drop down menu. In the dialog box that opens, browse
to the word dcoument. and import it. Then craate a text
link to the word document.

Publish your site.

Many people will be nervous about downloading/opening online Word
documents because of the possibility of Macro Viruses. For a one-off
that will only be accessed by people who know you, there is no real
problem with posting doc files, but if you will want to do this
regularly, you would probably be better to get and use one of the
cheap pdf distillers (I use PDF995 - www.pdf995.com - but there are a
number of others.) to convert the files into pdf format.

Please respond to the Newsgroup, so that others may benefit from the exchange.
