I want to be able to link to the full path name of the server rather than to
a mapped dirve such as T: or W:. Can this be done in Link table manager?

If, when you browse for the server, you go through "My Network Places"
(or "Network Neighborhood", or its equivalent on your system), and
follow the network path to the file rather than using the mapped drive,
that's what will go into the link.

Yes. When you are asked to navigate to the backend, do so *using the
Network Neighborhood* rather than My Computer.
