how do i link several power point presentations to a common table.

I've seen power point presentations, where differnt subjects (segments of the
meeting) where linked to a main slide. Clicking on the scific areas in that
slide, brought up the related presentation.
How is this done?

Quite simply. Create a one slide "menu" presentation with the segments listed.
Then select one of the list items and go to Insert > Hyperlink To > Other
presentation and browse to the appropriate presentation file. Do the same for
each segment.

Tip: Put all of the presentation files in a common folder before creating the
menu and save the menu to the same folder. That will ensure that the links work
correctly if and when you move the set of presentations to another system or to
another disk.
