I am making a template form in Word using a locked document with form fields.
Users will enter a file number that is repeated several times throughout.
How do I set it up to link the form fields so that the number fields
automatically in each appropriate field upon entry in the first. I am using
Word 2003.

The first field will have a bookmark property by default Text1. To repeat
the information from this field, check the calculate on exit property for
that field and insert REF fields to call the bookmark elsewhere in the
document (these are not form fields). If you want the REF fields in the page
header/footer you will require either a STYLREF field or an update macro run
on exit from the field.
