I would like to link my yahoo account with Entourage. I was wondering what
steps to take and if it is possible.

Thank you.
Joe

Even if microsoft.public.access was about accessing public microsoft,
what would that have to do with yahoo, entourage and linking?

Can anyone explain to me why people use this newsgroup as a catch-all?
Is this forum the oracle (pardon the analagy) of all wisdom? If so, I
too have some questions I'd like answered.

Where does lint come from?
Why do my cats lick their fur?
How many cars are there in the world?

And don't tell me someone out there can't answer these questions. After
all, you are microsoft.public.acces!

Hi Joe

i have never used entourage before and have not seen a Forum site for it (it
is an MS product) however i would think it would be somewhere under
tools/options/email you need to get pop3 settings from yahoo (should be on
their site somewhere).

Danny

Lint does not come from anywhere it has always been there
Cats lick themselves to spread disease
and depending on who you are too many (greenpeace) or not enough (ford)

i just think access gets all the overflow as it is alphabetically first

Hmmm. I would have thought that alt.aardvarks.allergies would have been
the first newsgroup in the list, but I suppose people think Microsoft is the
Oracle (again, pardon the analogy) of all wisdom, so here's what I propose:

Let's get Microsoft to create a decoy newsgroup that will take over the lead
position at the top of the list. Here are my suggestions:

microsoft.public.aardvarks.allergies

Now, this one would come before microsoft.public.access, but it probably
won't fool people who want to know where lint comes from. I'm going to
assume they are bright enough to realize that any newsgroup devoted to
allergies of aardvarks wouldn't have information about lint.

microsoft.answers.all.your.questions.here

Hey, we're getting closer. In fact, this has the potential of becoming a great
source of comedic relief. Not to mention the fact that there are people out
there who fancy themselves experts in everything that would be glad to answer
all your questions. (No offense intended, Phil. I thought your answers to my
questions were well reasoned and insightful, and I thank you for them.)

This started out as a tongue-in-cheek way to blow off steam, but you know,
I'm beginning to convince myself that this is a good idea. Who do we have to
bribe at Microsoft to get this newsgroup created?

No No No

access, not Access...

They think they're asking about "access" as in the ability to get into
something, like security access, file access... etc.

Not Microsoft Access from the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

How's this instead? microsoft.public.msoffice.access or
microsoft.public.msaccess

I was gonna say microsoft.public.office.access, but then people might post
questions on how to get into the front doors at the corporate headquarters
of Microsoft. (Microsoft Office Access). GET IT?

There's a bar down the road from my house called "The Office"
Every time my wife asks me where I am going, I say, "To The Office! I'll be
home late."
