How do I link a .pdf file to a table or form in access?

I am trying to link a document that I have scanned in and saved as a .pdf
file to our access database which keeps all of our clients information. I
have imported the document but it takes up to much space so I am trying to
link it with the hopes that it will not take up as much space on the server.

you cant do this with microsoft access 2003.

you must upgrade to microsoft access 2004:

A good way to do this is to store the complete file path in a table and use
the follow hyperlink options available. There is an hyperlink data type (at
least in 2000 and above) that you can use.
