how do i link 2 access programs together?

I am trying to link two of my access programs together so that certain
information can be updated at the same time. I usually have to update one
file, and update the other.
 
What SPECIFICALLY do you mean when you refer to 'UPDATING'? Are you
updating DATA? Are you adding/modfiying objects?
