How do I know if my Office is registered?

I installed Office on my laptop, and I don't know if I registered it when I
first installed it. Is there any way to check before the 30 days is up? What
happens if I didn't register my edition and it does stop working?
 
It is not necessary to register Office. Some versions do have to be
activated, however. See “Frequently asked questions about the Office
