How do I keep the "tab" key from jumping over adjacent cell

My "tab" key does not go to the adjacent cell. From column "A" it jumps to
column "C" then column "K" and so on.

Hi

It sounds as though some cells are Locked and sheet protection has been
turned on.
Tools>Protect>Unprotect sheet.

The sheet could be protected with some columns unlocked.

The Tab key would jump to the unlocked columns.

Or you have Tools>Options>Transition>Transition Navigation Keys enabled.

Nope - my cells are not locked, and it happens on every excel document I have. I suspect it has something to do with compatability with my home version of Excel 2007, and my work version of Excel 2003. They don't let us download anything at work, so I can't fix it with a compatability software from Microsoft.

It would be lovely if it was something as simple as a locked cell!

:)
