How do I keep the attachment from going in the body of the e-mail

I work at several different job locations. On most of the computers when
using outlook when I begin a new e-mail with an attachment it adds underneath
the subject line on the top of the e-mail. At one of the locations it
attaches in the body of the e-mail. I would like to change it so that it
adds it below the Subject line and not in the body of the e-mail. Can anyone
please direct me to where I can make the change?

It sounds like you are sending in rich text, if you change to plain text or
html you should see what you are looking for when you attach the file.

Unfortunately no I have not received an answer yet. I tried to search help
but that was pointless, nothing even came close to what I needed to know.
Hopefully someone will know how and can answer us.

I can't even tell you how many different options I looked at and never even
realized that was set to rich text. That corrected the problem. Thank you
VERY, VERY much!!

I just tried it, and it put the attachment at the bottom below the
body.

That's correct. Outlook's attachment line appears at the bottom of the
compose window. Outlook 2002 and 2003 (and I presume Outlook 2007) put ot
between the Subject line and the composition pane.

It begs the question though: why do you care if it's at the top or bottom?
It's cosmetic. The recipient will see the attachment however their mail
client wishes to present it. While I can understand why you might want to
not use Rich Text with the attachment in the composition pane (since only
another Outlook client can see it), for HTML or Plain Text, it shouldn't
matter.

Hi Brian,

Personally, I don't care where it puts the attachment as long as it can get
to the person I'm sending it to. I don't know if my user cares either as long
as it is not in the body of the e-mail. Everything I've read has said that if
you turn off RTF, the attachment should appear below the subject line. I just
wanted to make sure there wasn't another setting I was missing. Thanks for
clearing that up for me.
