How do I keep my emails in my inbox using outlook

When i receive emails in outlook i can read them then once i have closed
outlook they have gone.
I need them to stay in my inbox until i delete them.
 
Check your View setting. To see all messages in the current folder, click on
View > Current View > Messages.

Are you using a view of the Inbox that only shows unread items?
