How do I Install sound devices on my XP Pro?

Please help. I just installed Xp Pro from a cd on a new
drive but there is no sound coming.What should i do? I
want to be able to play my multimedia files, CD/DVD as
with Win98

You have to install the WinXP sound card or integrated sound chip drivers.
