How do I install new fonts?

I go to my fonts folder (C:\WINDOWS\Font) and click on File but there is NOTHING there that says "Install New Font". If I drag and drop it does not install. Can someone help me or tell me why?
 
Hi,

click on fonts in the control panel and then a folder
will open up. in that folder u will have the option of
install new font.

Also u need administrative privleges to install any thing
on your computer.
