How do I install MS Office 2000 on my new Computer that has Win XP

My new computer has Win XP on it. I want to install my MS Office 2000 but
the disc is not found when I use the Add new program . . . keeps telling me
to put the CD in drive? HELP!

You do have the CD for MsOffice correct? if so then try going to my computer
... and click on the drive that the CD is in and run it from there ..

Any other suggestions?

It sounds like the disc drive may not be working properly ... have you tried
accessing any othe discs using that drive??

Was this an OEM disk provided with a previous computer? If yes, that disk
belongs to your previous setup and won't install on a different computer.
If this is a retail version, you might want to take this question to one of
the office newsgroups.

Yes, the disk came with my previous computer that was running ME. I used
that ME disk to install XP upgrade onto new computer. I have the Product KEy
Codes for ME and MS Office 2000 and the disks. What else might I try?

Try buying a legitimate license of Office for the new computer. OEM
licenses are not legitimately transferable to another computer, under
any circumstances.
