How do I insert videos and have code validated by W3C?

I have built a website, 30-40 pages, that validates by W3C as HTML 4.01
Transitional, BUT I have four pages that will not validate due to video clips
that play on page load. The error I got from W3C is the dynsrc tag for the
videos (mpeg clips). I tried using a Flash format, but W3C gives more errors
with that. Any ideas on how to include video clips and still meet HTML 4.01
validation?

This doesn't answer your quetsion, But

How did you get video clips to play?

I tried embedding a .mov file in a page, and it just asks for a download. On
my local site, it plays quite OK.
