How do I insert text forms that won't change doc?

I am trying to post a Word job application to our website. I have the
document ready, and tried to insert text form fields, but when the user
types, the shape of the document gets out of shape. I have saved as a
template and it still shifts the format when typed on.

Help! I know this must be easy to fix, but I am stumped!

You can insert the form fields (and text) into a TABLE with row height
settings set to an "exact" height. You can put things into FRAMES with an
exact height (and/or width). You can limit the number of characters that
can be typed into a form field. Or you can use controls from the Conrols
Toolbox, which allow you to specify exact dimensions for the control. But
be aware that these will trigger macro security.
